happy 26 weeks baby girl!
I have been up since 6:30 am because I had a nightmare that I started bleeding and was trying to get to the doctor because I was scared something was wrong with you. It frightened me and now that my senses are kicking in and I am waking up I realize, I may have been dreaming of the start of your birth LOL.. rather than the worries of early pregnancy. That would be more logical being that next week is our entrance into the third trimester... duh!!! that was probably my bloody show.
Your father is still enjoying my belly rolling around and the fact that he can hear your heart beating when he puts his head to my tummy now just makes his day. I do not know who is happier when he talks to you.. you or him.. because you always respond only to his voice and he always grins like a kid on Christmas. I know you two are going to be very close and it brings joy to my heart to know. I have been having a bit of trouble getting the Christmas spirit. Part of it is because your sisters' mom is at her antic again, but I will not ruin your blog with that information. The other part is because I am freaking ready for January, February and March already! Mommy and daddy cannot wait to celebrate you and to meet you..
love always

25 weeks....
happy 25 weeks baby girl!
I enjoy every little roll and jab you give me each day... I also enjoy the look of sheer amusement in your father's eyes as he stares at my stomach after he talks to you.. you become a wild woman at the sound of your dad's voice. I know you are a daddy's girl already. he even shakes my tummy when you stop, like a happy little boy to get you rowled up again. We love you so much.
I have been going to the chiropractor in hopes of getting things situated before you make your debut.. just 15 weeks left, where oh where did time go????

celebrating in advance... Thank you Lord
on the eve of viability, since I hit the floor this morning I have been joyful and thankful. baby girl look how far we have come! Tomorrow you will be 24 weeks and have reached an important milestone... viability, which means you have a better chance of living outside the womb if you are born early. your lungs have been formed but you still have lots of growing to do. I pray to keep you safe and sound til 40 weeks or even 41 if you need it. I want you to be healthy and strong when me and your father get to meet you. We love you precious one.
PS- me and Grandma Leah have been working diligently on your nursery. We had a huge crew over our house on saturday to put together your crib. It was so complicated that your dad had to go out and buy drinks because everyone working on it were so confused. I think this was the funniest moment in my pregnancy. 5 people standing around a crib! But its done and its beautiful! Now we wait to get your dresser and changer put up and I can buy the rest of your accessories. I hope you love your room as much as me and your grandma do. I sit in it and dream of you all the time. The colors are so soft and cozy.

23 weeks :)
Happy 23 weeks baby girl! I am so excited that next week we will have reached viability and although all the worries wont completely disappear, it will be a sigh of relief to make it there. I am so amused with you. you kick me early in the morning now. Today was the first morning you kicked me while I was still asleep and sleeping a few minutes over the time my alarm would normally wake me. I guess you were trying to tell mommy to get up so she wouldnt get fired lol. You kick all the time when I talk to you now and you love yourself some rainbow ice cream.. yum! I get more and more excited as the days pass and I dream of what you will look like, how you will smell, your cry and your smile. I often wonder how you perceive me and imagine how you will look sleeping. I fold and unfold all of your baby clothes all the time and imagine you wearing them. One of our cousins bought you some Little Princess sleeper gowns and I think they are so classy. I imagine you in them all the time. I hope you love mommy and daddy as much as we love you. I cannot say enough how excited i am to meet you.

you are my joy
Hello ladybug. Sorry I have not been on lately but its been extremely busy. We had our scare in the ER as I had a severe allergic reaction to milk or cinammon. Then the steroid they gave me took away my ability to walk. But you are still kicking and growing and we are so proud of you. Your father felt you kick for the first time on Thanksgiving day, at the family reunion church service. We know Sasha loves music now lol because you danced to all the music :) you still kick mommy a lot if I drink caffeine, I guess because its something you hardly get. You also still love to party at night, as you were up while I was doing some black friday shopping for you and your sisters. Your dad and I love you more everyday and the first time he felt you kick he looked like he had won the lottery. He talks to you often. Everyone is waiting for you baby girl and you are still receiving lots of gifts before your showers. Keep baking and growing and we will see you in march or april. We love you!!!

tidbits
well little lady, mommy has been quite busy juggling work and school and now that I have a new laptop, I will be able to write you more regularly again. Three days from now, you and I will have made it to 20 weeks. I can still hardly believe it. Just seems like yesterday, I was running out of the bathroom screaming because I saw a second line pop up before the first one even finished. And I just remember staring at the test for hours and your father telling me "yes the line is still there. It is not going anywhere..." and I still look at the test today :) Not because I think it will disappear, but because I am still amazed.
This has been quite the journey with you. You kicked me for the first time Saturday October 29, 2011, waited a few days and kicked me again the next week and from that point on you have kicked me everyday. You even waited to kick me around 230 am one morning when you heard your father's voice after he got off work. And of course when you kick me early in the morning, I dont get my daily kicks from you til almost noon lol.. I see you are a night owl already dear. Although I do not think I have grown much, I can tell small differences in my tummy. everyone around me says you are stretching me out more each day, I just dont see it. Of course I am thankful I am still wearing the same pants, shoes and bras. You only seem to put weight on mommy's tummy and I am grateful. My nose has began to spread and of course my cheeks, but that is expected.
Other than that and struggling to keep the weight ON and not lose it (just dont have a big appetite) things are great. I was blessed to have no morning sickness, no bleeding or any other things to worry me. You have been very good to me Sasha.
That is it for now.. love you and see you soon

You fooled us all....
you're a GIRL!!!!! And we are all so excited yet tickled that you are a little trickster. I now have a strong suspicion that you are going to be an "April fool" :)
Sorry for not coming by to update sooner, my computer at home is obsolete so I am leaving you a note from work.
Sasha Yavel Shands... that is your name. We cannot wait to meet you beautiful.
Here are some pictures from your ultrasound. you smiled at daddy, mommy and your grandparents, did a headstand, sucked your thumb and even talked to the screen. My favorite part was when the ultrasound tech noted that you were nestled closely against mommy on the inside. I think you will be mommy's girl :) My heart melts thinking about it.
